As the social media manager for Woody Meadows Bats, I oversaw the entire content pipeline. from filming and editing to publishing and community engagement. I managed content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with a strong emphasis on short-form video.

My strategy focused on establishing a consistent, competitive presence in a crowded wooden bat market. I posted 1–3 times per day, prioritizing frequency, platform-native trends, and repeatable formats that could scale long-term. I worked to identify a niche that felt authentic and sustainable for the brand, helping Woody Meadows stand out against larger, more established competitors.

This role strengthened my ability to balance creativity with consistency while building a recognizable brand voice through video-first content.

Instagram

Instagram was my most successful platform. By developing a repeatable content formula focused on views, engagement, and website traffic, I built a sustainable presence that pushed Woody Meadows’ content to the forefront of the wooden baseball bat community

During my time managing the account (April 2025–January 2026), I produced a video that reached 19.3 million views, grew the account to 10.4K followers, and increased total reach to 15.9 million.

Before I joined (April 2024–April 2025), the highest-performing video reached 4.19K views, total account reach was 9.2K, and the follower count sat at 4,000.

Instagram ultimately proved to be the most valuable platform for Woody Meadows, driving the strongest audience growth and the most direct sales. This experience reinforced the importance of consistency, niche-focused content, and building systems that can scale rather than relying on one-off viral moments.

Facebook proved to be the strongest platform for follower growth and audience loyalty. While overall viewership was smaller than Instagram, Facebook users formed the most consistent and returning audience for Woody Meadows.

Before I joined (April 2024–April 2025), the account gained just 198 followers and recorded 1.5K content interactions, with a total follower count of 4,000.

Between April 2025 and January 2026, the account grew to 20.2K followers and generated 197.5K content interactions, signaling a major shift in reach and engagement quality.

I initially underestimated the impact of Facebook as a platform. However, its older, more invested audience proved highly valuable. many customers were deeply interested in the craftsmanship, process, and story behind the product. The nature of Facebook encouraged more attentive viewership, resulting in stronger trust and a higher intent to purchase.

TikTok

TikTok was the first platform where I saw immediate traction. Within my first week, I was producing videos reaching 65K–300K views, signaling early momentum and strong content-market fit.

Through testing, I discovered that videos centered around bats with a clear “gimmick” (e.g., Ninja Turtle, Star Wars, ice cream–themed bats) consistently outperformed design- and process-focused content. Leaning into this insight allowed me to raise average daily viewership from 500 views to 5,000 views. This insight lead to spikes of up to 3 million views.

Over nine months, the account grew from 875 followers to 12.1K. While TikTok delivered high views and engagement, it ultimately translated less directly into orders compared to Instagram and Facebook. I learned to treat TikTok as a top-of-funnel platform. ideal for reach, discovery, and experimentation, rather than direct conversion.

Tiktok sharpened my ability to identify fast-moving trends, test content quickly, and adapt creative strategy based on performance data.
